Dawn Reed - Instructor
Dawn has trained students in all levels of Dog Agility. She has competed in various Dog Agility venues which include USDAA, UKI and AKC, and has achieved many titles with several of her dogs. Her knowledge of the sport, experience with training many different breeds and treating all dogs as individuals makes her an effective trainer. Her unique abilities make learning enjoyable and fun!
Dawn currently competes with her Border Collie, Nugget. In 2022, Dawn and Nugget qualified and competed in the USDAA Cynosport World Games 2022 in Arizona. Dawn and Nugget qualified into the Grand Prix Finals and was a top 10 Grand Prix Finalist in the World Games! This was Nugget's first time competing at this level and she had to earn her way through the Quarter Finals to the Semi Finals to the Finals! Nugget has earned several titles in USDAA, UKI and also AKC. She is an awesome dog with great agility and speed and has also been awarded many "High in Class" awards at AKC events.

Dawn also currently competes with her young dog, Boom. Boom also qualified and competed in the USDAA Cynosport World Games 2022 and was a Grand Prix Semi Finalist. This was his first time competing in the world games and being such a young dog, he did great! Boom has earned several titles in USDAA, UKI and AKC. In addition, Boom also competes in Barn Hunt at the Masters level and has earned several titles in Barn Hunt as well. He is a cute fast upcoming star and he knows it!

Dawn’s Border Collie named Sizzle, earned a double championship title in USDAA. In just one year Sizzle earned both an ADCH (Agility Dog Championship) and a PDCH (Performance Dog Championship) and also qualified on both levels for the USDAA Cynosport World Games 2018. Sizzle was a Semi Finalist in the Performance Grand Prix at the USDAA World Games. Dawn and Sizzle were also two time Biathlon winners in local events.

Dawn also earned the highest level in USDAA, earning an ADCH (Agility Dog Championship) and also a Jumpers Championship Bronze, with her Border Collie Jessie and also qualified for the USDAA Cynosport World Games on several occasions. Jessie was very talented Snooker and Gamble dog and earned many Super Q's in Snooker!
Philosophy
Dawn has a natural intuitive instinct with handlers and dogs. She has been able to help a diverse variety of dogs and people and always makes learning creative and fun. The most important thing to her is that both the dog and the handler become a happy team.
Her main focus is on positive reinforcement training methods for both the dog and handler. Her classes benefit all levels of interest in agility, from the casual enthusiast, to people that want to compete and move up to the highest levels in dog agility.
Having trained under internationally acclaimed world team agility instructors, Dawn has developed a variety of skills. She continues to train consistently so that she can stay on top of the latest developments in the sport of dog agility.
